(PRWEB) July 7, 2005 -- Electronic Recycling Association of Alberta warns residents of Edmonton not to bring their computers to city ran EcoStations. City of Edmonton has been collection computers for recycling for the last few years. All computers collected are trucked over to the City Cloverbar landfill. It has come to ERA’s attention that local scrap collectors and poor people are sneaking out computers containing hard drives with personal information, patient data, and banking information. ERA advises local businesses to book a free collection or drop of their computers at one of our many depots throughout the city. ERA uses RCMP certified software to totally eliminate the possibility of your sensitive data being recovered. Residents interested in having their hard drives wiped or destroyed can come to ERA’s main depot and request that service. This will ensure your sensitive data can not be recovered, ever, even by accident.
